Drumshack Durban Drummers: Team Building Drumming!
THE DRUMSHACK EXPERIENCE:
Arican Drumshack Facilitation focus is on enabling and providing tools, knowledge, mechanisms, freedoms, processes & information that open active participants minds to make connections between tasks and people, in an enjoyable, rhythmical, constructive and liberating way.
Make it Fun!
When implementing a team-building program, consider injecting a little fun into the mix. When employees are having a good time, it encourages interaction and fosters teamwork!
Just Let Go!
Learning to release self-consciousness in order to synchronize with the group dynamic is the essence
Durban Drummers Team Build: Communication Exercise: Rhythmic Drum patterning activities that are geared towards improving communication skills through call & response rhythms, timing & listening exercises.
The Drumshack Experience:
When participants in our sessions discover that collectively they are able to produce a great sounding group rhythm without any prior musical training or background, simply by listening to one another, focusing on their part in the group rhythm and connecting with their colleagues and their respective rhythms, they can experience the positive benefits of cohesive teamwork!
A trust exercise involves engaging team members in a way that will induce trust between them – I have them relying upon one anothers rhythms as we build layer upon layer of our musical item!
African Drumshack’s interactive installations incorporate easily into conference, workshop, team build sessions, training modules, staff motivation events or field trip applications.
TEAM BUILDING WITH RHYTHM!
Planning/adaptability Exercise: These exercises focus on aspects of planning and being adaptable to change. These are important things for teams to be able to do when they are assigned complex tasks or decisions. At African Drumshack we incorporate these aspects into our format using our drums & rhythms & the participants creativity to cement the Planning module home!
Whether indoor or outdoor, the purpose of team building exercises is to assist teams in becoming cohesive units of individuals that can effectively work together to complete tasks.
“Thank you for your team. They were great! They strengthened the course content on vision, mission, aims and objectives very well and managed to show them that the theory can be lived and enjoyed too!”
Fun is an essential part of the human experience. In play we connect to the child within, and gain access to openness, wonder, and innocence that allows us to see the world new. In that state of mind and heart, we may claim the prerogative of children, to continue to grow.
“Thank you for the excellent experience that you have provided – the energy and rhythm really got the participants working in their teams and went a long way to making our theme come to life!!!”
Deloitte & Touche Team Build
Durban Drummers Amazing drumming last night once again! Thank you all who supported and became the evenings rhythm! African Drumshack you never cease to inspire, & surprise me!
Team interaction involves “soft” inter-personal skills including communication, negotiation, leadership, and motivation – in contrast to technical skills directly involved with the job at hand. African Drumshack’s Interactive Team Build Sessions are an ideal rhythmic & musical medium to encourage or specifically teach interpersonal team skills to increase team performance
Durban Drummers – Team Build Activations!
Group drumming can produce a powerful sense of connectedness with others. Group drumming also allows for self-expression, and at the same time discourages self-centeredness and isolation from the group – perfect for team building motivation while producing powerful rhythmic expression!
Durban Drummers – Had an awesome drumming session with my team at work yesterday. The energy that Jonathan brought to the event was absolutely incredible, and it was so well received by everyone. I can highly recommend using Jonathan for team building or corporate events or even private functions.
Thank you Jonathan for a memorable event.
“We end rhythmic pieces in laughter or we end them in silence but we end them knowing that each of us played a part in its creation”

Durban Drummers – Team Building & Stress Management Sessions
Rhythm goes very deep at instinctive level too, and has become increasingly an antidote for me to excess infomation. Losing myself in playing a hand drum gives me a route to shedding all the clutterings and clammerings of a world over-rich with media, and finding a more wholesome space.
Durban Drummers – Team Building Through Bonding! Through Rhythmic Timing!
Drumming is one of humanity’s universal traditions. For thousands of years people worldwide have drummed in groups to create and strengthen community bonds, rejuvenate and invigorate minds and bodies, enhance focus and clarity of purpose, acknowledge and celebrate important events and to just simply have fun together… to celebrate the joy of life!
